Getting around Giglio Island
Getting aroundGiglio Island is quite easy, its 23.8 km^2 are easily walkable along the 22km of hiking trails, but for those who want to move around in comfort, several types of services are active.
The Collective Taxi service that connects the three villages-Porto, Castello, Campese and the beaches of Arenella and Cannelle-operates all day and some night hours by reservation. Reservations can be made by phone by calling individual taxi drivers or go to the bus stop at G. Rum Square in Giglio Porto.
On the other hand, the Bus Line service of Autolinee Toscane connects, the three towns: Porto, Castello, Campese. During the summer season, in June, July, August and September, rides leave approximately every 20 minutes. Schedules can be found at the bottom of this page.
For the more athletic and those who want to be independent, there is the possibility of renting small scooters or bicycles with pedal assistance. These are the ideal means of getting around anywhere, without schedules and without the thought of parking.

Where to Buy Bus Tickets
A Giglio Porto bus tickets to Giglio Castello and Giglio Campese can be purchased at the Tabaccheria, located on the waterfront at the port in Umberto I Street, or at the bakery at the bus stop in Joseph Rum Square or, in the same square, at the offices of Misericordia Isola del Giglio.
In Giglio Castello, tickets are on sale at Tabaccheria Stefanini in Gloriosa Square, in front of the bus stop.
