Unveiling the Wonders of the Tuscan Archipelago with Maregiglio

Maregiglio, the mariner’s brainchild, was born on the shores of Giglio Island back in 1969. Three sea-loving partners gave life to a venture that has since sailed its way into the heart of maritime travel. Maregiglio, over four eventful decades, has navigated itself to a place of esteem in the nautical world, thanks to a crew revered for its professionalism, whether they’re steering the ship or anchoring operations on land. Operating non-stop, every day of the year, Maregiglio ensures a smooth voyage for passengers and their vehicles along the stunning Porto Santo Stefano – Giglio Island and Porto Santo Stefano – Giannutri Island routes. Traveling with Maregiglio is more than a trip, it’s an unforgettable journey. But Maregiglio isn’t just about ferrying you to Giglio Island. It’s a testament to innovation and an unwavering commitment to its passengers (we’ve put in place a range of services specifically designed for those with limited mobility) — the two keystones that have anchored the company’s success over the past fifty years. From its very first journey in 1969, Maregiglio has prided itself on delivering exclusive travel experiences, consistently putting passenger needs at the forefront. This service-driven ethos, hand-in-hand with an enduring dedication to innovation, has shaped Maregiglio into a beacon of maritime transport in the southern Tuscan Archipelago.

Sail to Giglio Island and Giannutri with Maregiglio

Maregiglio seamlessly transports passengers and their vehicles to the glittering gems of the Tuscan Archipelago – Giglio Island and Giannutri, equipped with the finest onboard services.

These sibling islands, each with a personality of its own, share a fascinating history and the shimmering crystal waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our ferries to Giglio Island set sail from Porto Santo Stefano, where you can conveniently park your vehicle (just follow our handy tips) and during summer, we operate from 07:30 until 19:00, with the last boat leaving from Giglio Porto.

This service runs all year round, although the departure times might change with the seasons. As for the Giannutri-bound ferries, they too embark from Porto Santo Stefano. In the summer months, the service runs every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

For the remainder of the year, we have you covered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Considering the tourist rush, particularly in the high season, finding a spot can be a bit of a challenge.  So, we highly recommend checking the latest timetable updates and securing your ticket online.
