Self-certification vehicle disembarkation

Auto limitation from August 5 to 25, 2023

Like every year in August, the municipality of Isola del Giglio, restricts access to cars from the mainland on the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. The restriction includes landing and movement on them for the period this year from August 5 to 25 inclusive.

Basically in the summer period, from August 5 to August 25, 2023 (inclusive), in order to bring your car or motorcycle (with Italian license plates) to the Island it will be mandatory to stay at least 5 days or 4 days for those staying in campgrounds and fill out a self-certification in which they will have to be reported:

• The vehicle data (license plate and owner);
• The declarant’s data (biographical data, address and tax code);
• The data of the accommodation employer (name of establishment, location and period of stay).

This must be shown at disembarkation, and should be kept inside the vehicle for the entire period of the stay.

Vehicles with foreign license plates, vehicles owned by residents, and commercial vehicles are exempt from the restriction.
