The trail starts from Giglio Castello and in some sections, especially in its initial part up to the scopeto curve, passes through the provincial road. The landscape is constantly changing, along the way you can see vineyards, ancient millstones carved into the granite rock, abandoned sheds, you pass through the dry stone walls of countryside now abandoned but where once, in addition to vines, fruit trees grew. On the long descent to Arenella beach, we can see Giglio Castello, stationary behind us at the top of the hill, and in front of us the whole coast; with Monte Argentario and Giannutri further south in the foreground.

We recommend tackling the trail wearing hiking shoes, with good starting physical fitness (especially if doing it uphill), carrying sufficient water.
