Landing limitation vehicles and Self-certification
As every year, the municipality of Isola del Giglio restricts access to vehicles from the mainland during the peak season.
Have you booked your vehicle ferry yet?
Remember that to board your car during the restriction period, you must have a valid ticket and this self-certification.
If you haven't already done so, secure your seat on board.
Rules for landing (August 2 to 24, 2025)
Who can disembark?
During the period indicated, you can land your vehicle (car or motorcycle with Italian license plates) only if you meet one of these conditions:
- Stays for at least 5 days In an accommodation facility.
- Stays for at least 4 days in a campground
Who is exempt?
Self-certification is not required for:
- Vehicles with foreign license plates
- Vehicles owned by residents
- Commercial Vehicles
How to fill out the self-certification The form requires the following data:
- Vehicle data (license plate and holder)
- Registrant's data (biographical data, address and tax code)
- Housing data (establishment name, location and period of stay)
The completed form must be shown at disembarkation and kept inside the vehicle throughout the stay.
