Warning: this is the scheduled ferry (passenger transport only). No vehicles are allowed to disembark (car or motorcycle) on Giannutri Island.

No, transportation of vehicles is not allowed (cars, motorcycles, campers) on the island of Giannutri, except for authorized residents. Our service on this route is exclusively for passenger transport.
If you arrive by car, you will need to leave it in Porto Santo Stefano. There are several long parking lots available for a fee near the embarkation area. The average daily rate is about 15 euros and they are usually open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m./9:00 p.m. (it is always good to inquire in advance). See our guide on where to park.
- By car (from the north): Exit at Albinia (after Grosseto) and follow the signs for Porto Santo Stefano.
- By car (from the south): A12 highway to Civitavecchia, then SS1 Aurelia to Orbetello. Follow the directions.
By bus: From Orbetello FS station (or from Grosseto). The ride from Orbetello takes about 14 minutes (cost €2.60). Tickets are purchased at the FS Station Bar or on the Autolinee Toscane website. The stop is "Cantieri Navali," a short walk from our ticket office.
Our physical ticketing is located at Piazzale Facchinetti 6/7, near the embarkations. However, since places are limited, we strongly advise you to make the reservation online here on our site to guarantee your place.
The A/R price per passenger varies roughly between 25€ and 30€, depending on the season. In addition, to access the island, it is mandatory to pay a national park access ticket of 5.50 euros. We recommend that you consult the updated rates or to check the final price in our online booking.
It lands in Cove Spread o Cala Maestra. The two landings are located on opposite sides of the island and are connected by a footpath (they are distant about 15 minutes walk).
The whole island, except the areas of the two coves (where bathing is allowed), is part of the National Park.
The visit is possible only with an Official Park Guide.
- What to bring: Packed lunch, water supply and hiking shoes. There is only one small restaurant on the island (open in high season).
- Book guides: Guided tours (e.g., Roman Villa) can be booked on the National Park Infopark website. Guides are available every day in summer, and only the Saturday in spring and fall. Alternatively, you can consult our organized excursions (mini-cruises).
