Trail 3: Pentovaldo- Giglio Castello-Arenella

The trail starts from Giglio Castello and in some sections, especially in its initial part up to the scopeto bend, passes through the provincial road. The landscape changes constantly, along the way you can admire vineyards, ancient millstones carved into the granite rock, abandoned sheds, you pass through the dry stone walls of countryside now abandoned but where once, in addition to vines, fruit trees grew. On the long descent to Arenella beach, we can see Giglio Castello, stationary behind us at the top of the hill, and in front of us the whole coast; with Monte Argentario and Giannutri further south in the foreground.

It is recommended that you approach the trail wearing hiking shoes, with good physical fitness to start (especially if you do it uphill), carry sufficient water with you. We also recommend in the summer months, Of choosing the coolest times of the day.
